Sidney man arrested for abduction

Sidney Police responded to a call regarding a past assault Friday and arrested a Sidney man for abduction for the incident, according to Sidney Police Chief William Balling.

The victim reported that a white male attempted to abduct her while she was walking in the 100 block of South Vandemark Road. Sidney officers and investigators responded and investigated the report.

Dennis Mills, 46, 1825 Cheryl Place, was arrested and charged with abduction, a third-degree felony. Mills was transported to the Shelby County Jail. His initial appearance in court will be Monday in Sidney Municipal Court.
