DARKE COUNTY - A vehicle occupied by four juveniles rolled after losing control on a slick roadway Friday afternoon east of Greenville.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a silver Mazda Tribute attempted to pass a black Volkswagen sedan headed eastbound on the 6400 block of US 36 East. The driver of the Mazda SUV lost control of the vehicle, clipping the front of the Volkswagen, and went off the right side of the roadway landing on its top. After being clipped the Volkswagen spun into an oncoming westbound GMC truck which hit the sedan in the rear bumper.
Four juveniles occupied the Mazda suffered minor injuries, three of which were transported to Wayne HealthCare. The drivers of the Volkswagen and GMC were not injured.
According to a Darke County Sheriff Deputy on the scene, the icy conditions of the roadway while trying to pass a another vehicle played a factor in the crash.
