Noon Year’s Eve

CENTERVILLE — There will be a Noon Year’s Eve event held at noon on Tuesday, Dec. 31 at Grant Park in Centerville. The event will include kid-friendly games and crafts, party hats, streamers, fun snacks and props all to celebrate the ball drop, but just a bit early. Registration is required. Dayton Ballet

DAYTON — This New Year’s Eve, all three members of the Dayton Performing Arts Alliance – dancers from the Dayton Ballet, a singer from the Dayton Opera, and the instrumentalists of the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra – will get together, combine their respective talents, and celebrate the New Year with a festive program that delves into the music of different cultures and countries around the world: Africa, Bohemia, England, France, Russia, and of course, Austria. The event will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31 at the Schuster Center.

Works by Winteregg, Wagner, Saint-Saëns, Rachmaninoff, Mozart, Lumbye, Dvořák, Ginastera, Akpabot, Gardel, Gershwin, Rodgers, and Strauss II. Patrons can enjoy New Year’s Eve traditions including delicious food-by-the bite in the Wintergarden beforehand, a flute of champagne at intermission, and a balloon drop finale. Tickets start at $19. Scene75 New Year’s

VANDALIA — Scene75 will hold a special New Year’s Eve Celebration from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31. There will be a live DJ and $2 pizzas after 9 p.m. There will also be a special toast at midnight and a special balloon at noon for the kids. For more information call 937-619-3200.

Holiday Inn celebrates

FAIRBORN — The Fairborn Holiday Inn is hosting an overnight New Year’s Eve Celebration from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31. This $229 per couple package includes: an open bar during cocktail hour, hors d’oeuvres, dinner buffet, live DJ and dancing, champagne toast at midnight, overnight stay, late check out the next day and breakfast for two in McKenna’s Grill. There will be a live feed of Times Square. Contests and prizes will be given out throughout the night including best dressed, best shoes, fanciest hat and best dressed couple. Dinner dance

DAYTON — The American Czechoslovakian Club will hold a New Year’s Eve dinner dance from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31. The Frank Moravcik Band will perform. Dinner will be served from 7-8:30 p.m. and dancing will begin at 9 p.m. Dinner includes roast pork and sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, vegetable salad and bread. Dublin Pub celebrates

DAYTON — The Dublin Pub in Dayton will hold an Irish New Year’s celebration starting at 6 p.m. Ring in the new year twice with two champagne toasts. The music will start around 6 p.m. and the first toast will be at 7 p.m. so attendees can celebrate with Ireland and then again at midnight. KETTERING — The VFW Post 9927 is hosting the band Jim Robinson and Interplay to ring in the New Year at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31. The group specializes in big band oldies and soft rock.
