XENIA — The community is invited to attend second annual Xenia Youth Expo from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 8, at the Xenia Community Center.

The free expo will demonstrate some of the things the Xenia area has to offer youth.

“The public is invited to walk the displays and watch the performances,” Xenia councilman Joshua Long, founder of xeniayouth.com, said of the event.

Long said the first expo was a success with over 30 exhibitors and nearly 1,000 attendees. He added that Xenia is missing activities like bowling or movies, but there are other forms of recreation, entertainment and education for the city’s young people.

Among the exhibitors are Citywide Cheer and Dance, Club X Soccer Inc., Dance Loft Plus, Doug Yates Karate, Family Fun Center, Girls Rule!, Greene County Combined Health District, Greene County Public Library, Live Gracefully Dance Studio, Thrive Student Ministries, Xenia Kids and Robots, Xenia Rainbow Girls, Xenia Soccer Club, Xenia YMCA, Xenia Youth, and Youth Recreation League of Xenia (YRC).

Some exhibitors will also present live demonstrations and performances each hour to showcase Xenia’s youth talent.

Any organization wishing to display at the Expo are asked to register at www.xeniayouth.com. Space is limited. It is free to be an exhibitor.

The event is sponsored by Better Images Portrait Studio and the City of Xenia.

Event founder and chairman Joshua Long, who is also a City of Xenia Councilman says, ” Last year was a huge success for our first year. We welcomed over 30 exhibitors and about 1000 attendees at the Community Center.”

He goes on to say, “our community is missing many commercial activities like bowling or movies, but we still have a lot to offer our students in terms of recreation, entertainment, & education.”
