WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE — The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, headquartered at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, announced Tuesday that it will spend $5 billion over the next five years on professional services through the OASIS program.
U.S. General Services Administration officials awarded a “One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services” Small Business contract to 40 small businesses located nationwide, in support of the AFLCMC, on Feb. 24. OASIS Small Business, developed by GSA, was designed for federal agencies, to be a one-stop-shop for securing a variety of complex professional services.
GSA will administer a pool of 40 small businesses that will compete for professional service contracts, including engineering, financial management, transportation, construction and repair.
Patsy Reeves, AFLCMC executive director said that the new program provides a “win win” approach for both the Air Force and for small business.
“OASIS consolidates and improves efficiency in the acquisition of important services that help us accomplish our mission, and it offers top notch small businesses the opportunity to provide vital knowledge and expertise,” Reeves said.
Selection for the pool was competitive – companies were screened and assessed by GSA to determine their qualifications for specific professional service needs. The 40 selected small businesses will compete over the next 18 months for 30 task orders to provide professional services at all AFLCMC locations for the next five years.
Local firms competing for these orders include BTAS Inc., Universal Technology Corp., and Sawdey Solution Services Inc., all in Beavercreek; Peerless Technologies Corp. and Solutions Through Innovative Technologies Inc., both in Fairborn, and Innovative Technologies Corporation in Dayton.
