XENIA — Greene County Master Gardeners are offering a one year non-renewable $1,000 scholarship to a graduating student who is a resident of Greene County and plans to pursue higher education within Ohio at an accredited technical school or in a 2-4 year college or university.
The candidate must plan to pursue a program in a field related to horticulture, turf management, landscape design or technology, soil science, entomology-pest management, botany-plant pathology, or trees and forest management. The application form, three letters of reference and an official copy of the applicant’s high school transcript and three letters of reference are required. Applications are due at the school or the Extension office by Friday, April 4.
High schools within Greene County have been notified of the scholarship so student candidates can check with school counselors or staff regarding the application forms.
