FAIRBORN — Wright State University’s College of Education and Human Services and its Department of Kinesiology and Health (K&H) have partnered with Wright-Patterson Air Force Bases’ 88th Air Base Wing and the base’s sexual assault response team to train adjunct faculty and airmen in sexual assault defense tactics.
The collaboration will result in the training of about 90 airmen and several adjunct faculty members from K&H and is intended to empower them to train others in the future.
Participants will learn the martial art of Brazilian jiu-jitsu at the March 10–14 training session at the McLin Gym at the Wright State Nutter Center. Instructors from the world-renowned Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Minnesota will guide the week-long training opportunity.
