XENIA — It’s taken a while, but Fairgrounds Furniture has added carpet to its inventory at its location on the Greene County Fairgrounds.

“We had some carpet put in by another company and it was less than an ideal situation,” Melissa Smith, owner of Fairgrounds Furniture, said. “And there is not much choice in town. So we thought, why not.”

Smith, and her father, “Mountain” Hill, have the experience and ability to offer customers a good line of carpets.

“My father used to sell carpets so he will be a great asset,” Smith said. “And we will have installers who will be the best at what they do.

“We know we can offer customers a more friendly, relaxed and pleasant experience in buying carpet, as well as furniture.”

Fairgrounds Furniture has been in business for 41 years, selling furniture to residents of Xenia and surrounding communities. This is the first time the store will offer carpet.

“We are carrying the Bliss line by Beaulieu of American,” Smith said. “There are three major types of carpet with a variety of colors and textures available.”

She added that, as part of the service, take up and disposal of the old carpet, and installation of the new, will be free.

“Fairgrounds Furniture is a family owned business that has taken great pride in customer service,” Smith said. “We have always and will continue to provide customers with personalized quality service that the bigger stores can’t.”

Fairgrounds Furniture is located in Xenia on the Greene County Fairgrounds. The local store also has a home on the web at www.Fairgroundsfurniture.com.
