XENIA — The Interfaith Hospitality Network of Greene County elected Pastor Bill Mallernee as its next president of the board of trustees at its May meeting. IHN runs the Schneider House of Hope, a homeless shelter serving Greene County residents.

Bill and his wife Pat are residents of Xenia and hope to help make a powerful impact in the area. Mallernee, an ordained minister in The Church of God of Anderson, Indiana, is excited to lead the group as it moves forward.

“I believe in the mission of IHN and believe it can be a vital tool in connecting the faith community and her resources to a group of people with great need,” Mallernee said. He further cited that the faith community of Greene County, when working together, could provide a wealth of service to those in need.

The goal of the Interfaith Hospitality Network of Greene County is to bring people of all faiths together in service to the homeless guests it serves. To learn more about becoming actively involved with the group, call the Schneider House of Hope at 937-372-0705.
