GREENE COUNTY — Libraries around Greene County have a variety of the programs planned for September. The following is a listing of just some of the planned programs. Some programs require registration. For a complete schedule of activities, stop by your local library or log on to the library website at www.greenelibrary.info.

Cedarville Library

The Cedarville Community Library is located 20 S. Miller St. To register or for more information call 937-352-4006.

Friends of the Library Book Sale, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3. Lots of books, audio books, DVDs and Music available. All of the money goes right back into the library.

Story Time for ages 0-5, 10:30-11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, 14, 21, 28.

Trivia Night at Beans-n-Cream for adults, 7-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8. Join library staff for a trivia night. Be prepared to answer questions about pop culture, history, and current events.

Food for Thought for adults, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10. If you enjoy cooking, trying new recipes, and sharing food with others, then join us for a potluck meal using recipes from a pre-selected cookbook. Registration required.

Beads, Bangles and Bracelets for ages 12-18, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17. A morning of making bracelets: beaded, friendship and more.

Create-A-Canvas for adults, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20. Have a fun evening of painting with local artist Karen King, and take home your finished painting. Registration required.

DIY Skin Products for adults, 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27. Make chemical free, inexpensive products for your skin with easy to find ingredients with HSCG Certified soapmaker Margaret Neff. Bring any essential oils you might want to use in your products. Please bring a dishpan that will hold water. Registration required.

Jamestown Library

Drop-in Crafters for adults, 5:15-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, 13, 20, 27. Drop in the library and join other crafters are they work on various projects, from knitting to scrapbooking, and everything in between.

Time Management and Goal Setting for adults, 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13. Motivational speaker, Clancy Cross, will teach time management and goal setting techniques and help you learn new habits that will help your personal development in this area.

Card Making and Paper Crafts adults, 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20. Card making and paper crafts with a monthly theme. Instruction and supplies furnished. Registration required.

Jamestown Community Libraryís Read Between the Wines Book Discussion at Caesar Creek Vineyards, 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21. Caesar Creek Vineyards is located at 962 Long Road in Xenia. The selected title is The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer.

Middle School Book Club for ages 12-18, 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22. Help select and attend our book club discussions. Ask staff for this month’s title.

Good Habits and Responsibility for adults, 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27. Motivational speaker, Clancy Cross, will teach you how to develop good habits and responsibilities that will help your personal development.

Winters-Bellbrook Community Libraryís Lord of the Rings Book Club for ages 12-18, 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6. This club is for fans of the J.R.R. Tolkien books.

Crochet 101 for adults, 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6. Join Melody Kelly to continue learning different crochet techniques. Yarn and crochet hooks will be provided. Registration required.

Snap Circuits for ages 8-11, 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7. Use our Snap Circuit sets.

Harry Potter Club for ages 8-12, 4:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12. Calling all Harry Potter fans. Join library staff and have fun while we talk about the books and movies and do Harry Potter projects.

Create a Masterpiece with Decoy Art Studio/Winters-Bellbrook Community Library program for ages 12-18, 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13 at the Bellbrook Presbyterian Church Experience a fun night of canvas painting for artists of any level. An instructor from Decoy Art Studio will help you create a masterpiece step by step. All materials provided. Registration required.

Life Size Clue for ages 12-18, 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15. Join us in this live, book-inspired Clue game.

Lego Builders Club for ages 6-11, 4:30-5:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22. Accept our challenge and come build with Lego bricks.

Organized and Productive: Tackle your To-Do List and Other Tasks for adults, 6:30 Thursday, Sept. 22. Productivity and organization go hand in hand. Professional organizer, Lori Firsdon, will discuss how your productivity can be positively influenced by new organization behaviors.

Board Games for ages 10 ad up, 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27. Join us for classic and modern board games, from Sorry! to Munchkin, or bring a game of your own to share.

Friday Afternoon Movie: The Princess Bride for ages 10-18, 3-4:45 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2. A storybook stable boy turns pirate and rescues his beloved, kidnapped by a prince. Popcorn provided.

Read to the Dogs! 3-4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8. Read to and visit with our four legged friends and their people.

Grilling with Mariano Rios from La Pampa Grill adult, 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10. Taste traditional Argentinian cuisine. Mariano and friends will share their passion for simple cooking. Registration required.

One on One Tech Tutoring for adults, 11 a.m.- 12 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12 and Thursday, Sept. 22. Register for a one-on-one tech tutoring session with a librarian. Registration required.

Altered Book Project with Sarah Strong for adults,10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17. Transform an old book into a family heirloom. Bring photos, family artwork, poems, notes, etc. Use buttons, papers, stamps, pens, wash, glues, brushes and much more to create a family treasure. Registration required.

Kids Clay with the John Bryan Pottery Co-op, 3-4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21. Kids will see a demonstration and have a chance to make a small simple pot on the potter’s wheel. Registration required.

Brenda Sandman-Stover presents Healthy Meals for Busy Families, 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24. Learn strategies to quickly prepare nutritious and appetizing meals that will satisfy your family. Registration required.
