This MySpace video still shows a Burger King employee taking a bath in the sink in Xenia.
Worker in hot water Video shows employee taking bath in sink at Xenia Burger King XENIA — The Greene County Combined Health District is investigating Xenia’s Burger King after seeing an Internet video in which an employee takes a bath in the restaurant’s sink.
The video, posted Thursday, Aug. 7 on MySpace by a Burger King employee calling himself Mr.UNST@BL3, shows the employee bathing in a sudsy stainless steel sink while being recorded by another employee with a digital camera.
“This is August 7, this is my birthday and I’m taking a bath in the sink at Burger King,” the employee tells the camera.
At one point during the three minute 43 second video, the employee with the camera approaches a woman who appears to be a manager and tells her about the bathing employee, but the woman continues counting out a register drawer and is not shown taking action against the employee.
Officials at the Greene County Combined Health District received an e-mail with a link to the video early Monday morning and quickly began their investigation, said Health Commissioner Mark McDonnell.
“We view these kind of stunts as really bad for the industry,” McDonnell said.
A spokesman for Burger King said Monday evening that everyone seen in the video had been fired.
