Bitten “Miss Kitty” Theisen 1932-2010 THEISEN, Bitten “Miss Kitty”, age 78 of Fairborn, passed away Friday July 23, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, Matthew; a son, Billy Joe; parents, Niels and Marie Jensen; and sisters, Inga and Vinnie. She is survived by her daughters, Annette Jensen and husband Joe Kneuer, and Donna Theisen; a son, Robert Theisen and wife Marcia; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by family in Denmark; siblings Arne, Tom, Maryann, Helen; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Bitten was born in Copenhagen, Denmark on January 28, 1932. During the occupation of Copenhagen by the Nazis in World War II, she was a participant in the children’s underground, delivering information that helped Jews escape to a safe haven in Sweden. After her marriage to Matthew, Bitten became a U.S. citizen in 1958. She retired from the Wright-Patterson AFB NCO Club in 1974 after 19 years of service and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 526.

A funeral service will be held on Monday July 26, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. in the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the time of service. Interment will follow in the Fairfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Vitas Hospice.
