Ruth E. Miller 1936-2010 Ruth E. Miller, 74, of Xenia, passed away Thursday afternoon, July 22, at her residence. She was born May 15, 1936, in Montgomery County, the daughter of Roy and Minnie Puterbaugh Brandenburg. She was a member of the Zoar United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, William E. Miller, a daughter, Pamela Sue Miller, Xenia, and her fiancé, Anthony Cunningham, a son, Ernest Lee Miller, Xenia, a sister, Lois Hahn, Cincinnati, a brother and sister-in-law, George (Cecil) Brandenburg, Beavercreek, and by numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends.. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Mark E. Miller, two sisters, Mary Beasecker and Elizabeth Tobin, and by five brothers, Lester, Ralph, Charles, Robert, and infant brother, LeRoy Brandenburg.
Ruth loved farm living, her cats, flowers, and the simple things of life, and always said “Home is the Best of All. She loved making ice tea and cookies for the hay balers who helped on the farm. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Graveside services will be held at 10am, Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at Byron Cemetery, Fairborn, with Pastor Samuel Berger officiating. There will be no visitation. Neeld Funeral Home is in charge of services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA, 22312.
