Health Board meeting

XENIA — The Greene County Board of Health Personnel Committee will meet in special session on Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 5 p.m., in the front half of the large conference room of the health district office. The purpose of the meeting will be the review of personnel policies.

Special joint work session

XENIA — The Greene County Board of Commissioners will participate in a special joint work session with Beavercreek City Council and Beavercreek Township Board of Trustees to discuss the funding of the proposed redesign of U.S. 35 (Superstreet project). The special work session will be held Tuesday, Sept. 20, 5-7 p.m. at Beavercreek City Hall, 1368 Research Park Drive. The meeting is open to the public.

Auxiliary fundraiser

XENIA — The Greene Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will sponsor a fundraiser $5 sale 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20 and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21 in the Vera Schneider lobby of the hospital. A wide assortment of necklaces, earrings, rings, pins, scarves, hats, tote bags, flashlights along with many gifts suitable for both men and women. All proceeds will benefit the hospital. The auxiliary supports Greene Memorial Hospital with time and talent as well as providing special gifts for mammography patients, aid to cancer patients, books and magazines are provided for patient comfort and much more. Safety seat inspection

BELLBROOK — The Bellbrook Fire Department is teaming up with Dayton Children’s Hospital and Safe Kids USA to hold the sixth annual Drive Thru Child Passenger Safety Seat Inspection. This program is designed to ensure that all children under 8-years-old are properly restrained in the event of a motor vehicle crash. A one-on-one tutorial provided by a certified child passenger safety technician will demonstrate the proper use and installation of child restraints. This event will take place 11 a.m. to 2 p.m Saturday, Sept. 24 at Bellbrook Fire Station #2, 4254 W. Franklin St. To schedule an appointment, call 937-848-3272. Drive thru inspections will be taken on a first come first serve basis. Appointments are encouraged.
