Special school board meeting

XENIA — The Xenia Community School District Board of Education will hold a special board/student roundtable meeting 7 a.m. Friday, Oct. 7 at the board offices, 819 Colorado Dr. The purpose of the meeting is to hold a student roundtable to discuss various items, as well as any other necessary action that may come before the Board.

Early voting

GREENE COUNTY – Early voting begins Oct. 12 and Election Day is Nov. 8. The library will be open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. in Greene County. For additional questions about the election please contact the League of Women Voters at 937-228-4041.

Ross Township meeting change

ROSS TOWNSHIP — The Ross Township Trustees meeting for October has been changed to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13 at Ross Township House, 1772 S. Charleston Road, Jamestown.

Healthy U workshop

BEAVERCREEK — The Area Agency on Aging and Greene County Council on Aging urge seniors to start down your own path to better health by attending Healthy U, where you will learn skills and coping strategies needed to manage your symptoms and live a healthier life.

The series of six weekly workshops 1-4 p.m. Tuesdays, Oct. 18 through Nov. 22 at the Beavercreek Nazarene Church, 1850 North Fairfield Road. Space is limited and advance registration is required by calling Susan Finster at 937-376-5486, or email [email protected].

Workshops are open to adults of any age who have a chronic health condition and/or their caregivers. There is no charge for participants who are 60 years of age or older, and the $15 fee for younger participants is paid by the Greene County Council on Aging. Everyone who completes the course receives the companion textbook, Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions.
