XENIA — City of Xenia Utility Billing and Income Tax Department Manager Diana Steck recently received the Keith Hunsberger Outstanding Customer Service Award in Cincinnati at the 78th Annual Conference of the American Water Works Association-Ohio Section (OAWWA).

The recognition is awarded to an individual whose career achievements demonstrate proactive practices, process improvements, and who mentors others and promotes education in the public and drinking water profession.

“Diana is extremely dedicated and committed to her staff, the customers she serves and her industry peers,” city Finance Director Mark Bazelak said. “Her years of service to the citizens of Xenia have helped streamline our processes to make our service more customers focused and are applauded not only by the OAWWA, but by the City of Xenia as well.”

Steck began her service with the City of Xenia in 2005. Her previous experience included positions as a product software solutions sales representative and in professional fields requiring strong project management skills.
