Family movie night

Kick back and relax with family and friends during the monthly movie night 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9 at the Park District Headquarters. The movie is projected onto a wall which creates a theater style experience for everyone to enjoy. Kids are welcome to wear their PJs and bring their favorite blanket, sleeping bag, or bean bag chair to relax and be comfy on. The parks will also have raffle drawings for a sweet treat as well as trivia questions that can earn you a ticket for fun family night out prizes. Call 937-848-3535 for movie of the month details.

Pinterest party

During the Pinterest Party the parks will provide all the supplies and ingredients to create the website’s most popular crafts and food “pins” on Pinterest. Each month we will focus and challenge our ideas in four areas: seasonal ideas, health, food, and crafty creations to brighten up your personal space. This program is 6:30-8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12. The cost is $15 per resident and $20 non-resident.

Holiday cards and ornaments

Get in the Holiday spirit by coming to the park headquarters and making holiday cards and ornaments for yourself or a loved one. Staff will provide all the supplies you will need to make beautiful cards and ornaments. There will be items such as stamps, sequins, paint, glitter, printed paper, beads, and so much more. This program is for all ages and will be on 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15. Registration is required.

Christmas in the Park

The parks will host their annual Christmas in the Park 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10 at Bellbrock Park, 57 N. Main St. Christmas in the Park will kick off the season with a park lighting ceremony and to welcome Santa to the park. Local music groups will fill the park with seasonal carols while Santa meets with his clients. Free activities for kids and families will include: crafts, gingerbread contest tent, and hot chocolate. New/gently used winter clothing items and canned food items that will be donated to the Bellbrook Family Resource Center benefiting local families in need this winter. There will also be a bake sale that all proceeds directly benefit the BHS service group “Partnerships for Success.”
