XENIA — Learn how to raise bees, hive equipment, products of the hive and set up a hive at the beginning beekeeping class series offered by Greene County Parks & Trails (GCP&T) from 7-8:30 p.m. Thursdays, Jan. 26 through March 9, in the Greene County Media Room, 541 Ledbetter Road.

“With the increased interest in beekeeping and raising our own food, we expect this program to fill up quickly,” said GCP&T Chief Naturalist Cris Barnett.

This series will feature hands-on experience at the on-site apiary with instruction by Bill Starrett, one of 18 Ohio State Beekeeper Association’s Certified Master Instructors.

Cost for the series is $40 (Greene County resident) and $50 (non-resident). Registration is required by Jan. 21.
