XENIA — Fast Fashions has been operating since 1984, according to shop owner Scott Decuir, but the business has been located at 33 E. Main St. for the past five years. Decuir said Fast Fashions not only offers a wide variety of clothing and accessories but also provides a rental service for tuxedos, which gains popularity during the spring as prom season and Easter services commence.
The Gazette posed some questions to the business owner. Here’s what Decuir had to say.
What does Fast Fashions do to get business?
“We have a loyal customer base who tell their friends, which is a great way to expand our customer base. We have customers from Xenia, Dayton, Springfield, Cincinnati and Columbus, really all over the United States. We will also send out a flyer a couple of times a year.”
Why did you choose Xenia for your location?
“When my dad opened Fast Fashions 33 years ago, he went to all the communities around Dayton, and Xenia seemed like a great fit. Over the years, the Xenia community has been very good to us.”
What’s the most unique item you have in your shop?
“We have a gold sequined sport coat in the store right now.”
What’s one thing you want everyone to know about Fast Fashions?
“We have been in Xenia for 33 years and would love anyone who has not been into Fast Fashions to stop in and say hi and take a look around.”
What can businesses do to make downtown Xenia better?
“Attract new businesses to downtown and increase parking for the downtown merchants and customers.”
