XENIA — The Xenia Rotary Club is hosting a pair of events to help support its Christmas Wishlist Program.

In tandem with Xenia Community Schools, Rotary will hold a holiday bazaar 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2 in the Xenia High School Gym. Pictures with Santa sponsored by BetterImages will be a feature of the bazaar, and more 30 vendors will participate.

Rotary will also hold its annual Christmas Auction at the Xenia YMCA 12 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12.

Auction items of all prices will be up for bid with big-ticket items consisting of a week rental of a Snowshoe condo estimated at $1,500, and a Dayton Dragons suite with food estimated at $,1200. The club will also auction items in the $250-plus and $100-plus price ranges and wrapped gifts valued at $25.

Proceeds from the auction and bazaar will be used to support the Xenia Rotary Wishlist Program. The Wishlist Program began in 2012 as a way for the club to give gifts to children in need at elementary schools in Xenia, Cedarville, Jamestown and Yellow Springs. For many families living in Greene County, the program is the only way the child will receive a gift.

Anyone wanting to donate an auction item or cash, or for more information, contact Christy Fielding at [email protected] or 937-562-9014.
