XENIA — The Greene County Sheriff’s Office will participate in a flag retirement ceremony at 7 p.m. Flag Day – Tuesday, June 14. The event will be held at the Greene County Fairgrounds, 120 Fairground Road.

The event will involve the respectful burning of old, tattered flags. The public is invited to attend. Those with flags to be disposed of should bring them to the event or to the Sheriff’s Office, 120 E. Main St., prior to the event.

The event is being organized by the Greene County Agriculture Society, Greene County Veterans’ Services, the Xenia Fire Division, the Xenia Township Fire Department and Moorman’s Towing and Body Shop.
