CEDARVILLE — The Cedarville University School of Pharmacy will host its second annual career fair 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17 in the Stevens Student Center.

Thirteen organizations will attend the fair, including retail pharmacies and hospitals from Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, and West Virginia. These organizations include CVS Health, Discount Drug Mart, Fruth Pharmacy, Grandview Medical Center, Kettering Medical Center, King’s Daughters Medical Center, Kroger Pharmacy Cincinnati/Dayton Division, Mercy Health, Miami Valley Hospital, OhioHealth, Rite Aid Pharmacy, Target Corporation and Walgreens.

At the fair, students can interact with representatives from each organization to learn about job opportunities and make connections that will help them secure a job after graduation.

“The market for pharmacists continues to be very strong,” said Marc Sweeney, Pharm.D., dean of the school of pharmacy. “As our inaugural class evaluates potential opportunities, they will find many options around the U.S. in a variety of practice settings. I am very excited to see the many roles our first group of Pharm.D. graduates pursue.”

Cedarville University has been hosting career fairs for more than 20 years. This is one reason why the university’s career first destination rate is 96.8 percent. The first destination rate denotes the percentage of 2014 graduates that found employment or entered graduate school upon six-eight months post-graduation.

The career fair is free and open to the public.
