XENIA — True to her name — The City of Hospitality — Xenia area residents gathered almost 300 warm winter coats in an effort to make sure no one is left without the warmth of a coat and the warmth of a city that cares for one another.

Volunteers from MidTown Xenia, along with huge support of the local community, helped make the event a success. Large support came from local, long time Xenia organizations including, Greene Inc., Handyman Ace Hardware, AHOP, The Jeremiah Tree, Super Subby’s, and Kennedy Korners. Jennifer Biel from AHOP and Jon Blakely of Handyman Ace Hardware are both seen here. When asked about the project, they both agreed about the importance of giving during the Christmas season. Midtown Xenia would like to thank all of those who took the time to donate warm clothing for this annual event. For more information on MidTown Xenia or any of the other organizations mentioned in this article contact Joe Kennedy at info@kennedykorners.com.
