XENIA — The Xenia Friends of the Library made its first annual donation to the Greene County Public Library Foundation. The Friends group has committed to donate $2,000 per year for the next three years. The funds are being used specifically for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library project. To date, the Imagination Library project—a program that delivers books every month to children ages 0-5 — has enrolled over 2,500 children.

“The Friends’ are really happy to support this effort,” Doug Bahun, president of the Xenia Friends, said.

Library Director, Karl Colón agrees.

“Having this level of commitment is what puts books into kids’ hands,” he said

The Greene County Public Library system consists of seven locations: Beavercreek, Jamestown, Cedarville, Fairborn, Yellow Springs, Xenia and Bellbrook.
