SPRING VALLEY — The Spring Valley Senior Center would like to welcome new individuals working with the center and to announce several upcoming events.

New board members Roberta Rathweg, Joy Ferguson and Tammy Garcia as well as new staff member Val Birtle are all joining the center’s supporting staff.

Birtle lives in Xenia Township and is retired from 22 years of work at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Birtle has worked with the center for the past year and is eager to work with both the seniors and her fellow staffers there. Her nursing background, computer skills and quilting experience make her a good fit at the center.
