FRANKLIN — Community GAiN announced that Chris Meyer, a long time Xenia resident, has joined the organization to further develop their growing portfolio of local, regional and state clients. Meyer has been an educator, business owner, director of energy policy for the Dayton Development Coalition (DDC) and currently provides consulting services in the area of energy aggregation and optimization.
Chris joins Community GAiN as senior associate for energy aggregation and optimization. In that capacity he will provide technical assistance and expertise to communities seeking to contain electric and natural gas costs.
“My association with Community GAiN offers me an opportunity to provide direct technical assistance to local governments, agencies and districts relative to energy cost containment,” Meyer said. “I am excited about the opportunity to work with GAiN as they expand the scope of their professional services.”
Greg Fullington, a founder of Community GAiN said, “Chris has taught, run a successful business and been a key advisor to the DDC on energy-related public policy.”
“He brings a valuable perspective to our client communities on how to manage their energy consumption with the very latest technology in order to reap significant savings,” Fullington said. “Chris is the perfect fit for GAiN all clients interested in creating a future for their communities where they can assume greater control on behalf of their constituents.”
Added Fred Burkhardt, GAiN’s other founding member, “GAiN’s commitment to high performance and financial accountability in local elected bodies led us to look for a complement with experience and expertise. With an average of 10% of municipal budgets allocated to energy costs, Chris’ expertise will enable GAiN to provide local governments, agencies and districts access to real time cost containment data and systems. We feel extremely fortunate that we are able to attract an individual of Chris’ caliber for this role.”
