Let me begin with a word to the ones that may think different from me. I have a right to celebrate Christmas every day of the year. Some may think that what I say is not needed. But the reason we celebrate Christmas is because of the birth of Jesus Christ. He is the One who came to save me from the wrath of God.

The Bible says if we accept Him, He will change us, and we will become a new creation. Man sinned against a holy God and Jesus came from glory to earth to save a sinful people.

Some don’t believe it, and think the words I speak are foolishness. I know what and who I used to be in years’ past. Some still say I know what he used to be, that that has been forgiven by a forgiving God. The moment I received Jesus into my life, I started walking the stairway to heaven, one rung at a time, step by step, day by day.

Like I said, some do not want to hear what I have to say. The Bible says that we are to tell the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. That’s why I try to live a Christ-like life each day on earth. The Bible is truth, the inspired word written down by men that walked with God in the Old Testament and with Jesus in the New Testament. One advantage I have over the ones in

Bible days, I know the end of the story. I can’t understand why people can’t believe the Word, but that’s not all — they don’t believe in God.

Now going back to what I said earlier, I was on the wrong path at one time myself. Thank God for the prayers of my friends that prayed for me lots of years. I was raised partly by my Grandma, and wow, did she know the Lord. Grandpa was a preacher, but he died before I was born, I didn’t know him. He is in heaven, him and grandma, my daddy and other family and friends.

Now at my age, I don’t have anything else but to walk with Jesus. Now that I’ve been born again, (as the Bible says, we have to be to enter into the Kingdom of God) Christmas, yes, is every day for me. I will not take a chance on not getting to heaven. Jesus said, “I am the way, and the only way.” So will we believe what we think, or will we believe the word of God.

The Bible says, “Now that I am saved, I am the light shining in a dark world. People don’t believe the Bible because they say man wrote it. Yes, that’s true, but how do they think it was going to get done unless people after God’s own heart was to do it. When I was going the wrong way and doing my own thing, it’s not that I didn’t know the truth.

Now, you know why I talk like I do, because Jesus got down in my heart and down in my soul.

Now that I’m writing articles for the newspaper, you will hear a lot about the eternal life to come. Yes, Christmas is a time of gift-giving, just as the wise men gave gifts to Jesus when He was born. God gave us His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him will have everlasting life in heaven.

I know sometimes I might say something that sounds like it’s been said before. Just like the Bible, we read it over and over because we need to hear the word until it is engraved upon our heart. Sometimes it takes a long time for us to really believe it, but we are not promised tomorrow — don’t wait.
