BEAVERCREEK — Join Greene County Parks & Trails as they travel to the Lake Erie area to view thousands of birds congregating along the shores waiting for the right wind pattern to push them across.

The group will leave from the Narrows Reserve Nature Center at 7 a.m. Sunday, May 4, and return at approximately 7 p.m.

Lake Erie is the last obstacle that northern migrating birds have to cross prior to their nesting in the Canadian hemlock forests. Participants will view Black-throated Blue Warblers , Scarlet Tanagers, Yellow-billed Cuckoos and more. Cost for the trip is $30 per person, Greene County resident; and $40, non-resident. For more information, call Greene County Parks & Trails at 937-562-6440 or email abotkin@co.greene.oh.us.
