WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE — Congressman Michael Turner (R-OH), chairman of the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Tactical Air and Land Forces, hosted ranking member, Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez (D-CA), at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Monday.
“I was honored to host my friend, Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez, at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. I am always proud to show my colleagues the innovative research and technological development taking place in our community,” said Congressman Turner.
“In Congress, Congresswoman Sanchez and I have a proven track record of bipartisan leadership both on the Tactical Air and Land Forces Subcommittee and in our efforts to eradicate sexual assault from our military forces.
I am grateful to Congresswoman Sanchez for her unwavering efforts to adequately prepare and protect our men and women in uniform and I look forward to continuing our hard work on behalf of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and all of our armed forces,” said Congressman Turner.
“I am thankful for Congressman Turner’s hospitality in hosting me at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and showing me the important and innovative work being done in his community. I look forward to hosting him in Orange County and continuing our bipartisan work on behalf of our armed services,” said Congresswoman Sanchez.
Congresswoman Sanchez received a briefing from the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) on their programs supporting aerospace weapons systems.
Additionally, Congressman Turner ensured Congresswoman Sanchez had the opportunity to see the innovative research and technological development occurring at the Simulation and Analysis Facility (SIMAF) and the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC).
