MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Elder-Beerman will celebrate the grand re-opening of its newly renovated store, now in one great location at the west end of the Mall at Fairfield Commons.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place in front of Elder-Beerman at the upper-level mall entrance Wednesday, Aug. 20.
Guest speakers will include: Brian Jarvis, Mayor of Beavercreek; Steve Byers, Executive Vice President of Stores for The Bon-Ton Stores, Inc.; Bruce Goldsberry, Manager of The Mall at Fairfield Commons and Greg Schellin, Elder-Beerman Store Manager.

The renovated Elder-Beerman store has a new layout to make it easier to shop. The store is brighter with updated lighting throughout, new carpeting and porcelain tile floors, updated restrooms and fitting rooms. The brand new cosmetics and fine jewelry areas feature new showcases and the shoe salon has a new look and feel with plush seating areas and enhanced visual displays.
The first floor carries men’s, kids’, women’s plus sizes, intimate apparel and home merchandise. Misses’ sportswear, dresses, coats, shoes, cosmetics, jewelry and accessories are located on the second floor.
The store continues to offer great brands such as Michael Kors, Coach, Calvin Klein, Jones New York, Anne Klein, Nine West, Nautica, Izod, DKNY, Lancôme, Estée Lauder, Clinique and many more. To celebrate, the store will have special events throughout the day Wednesday, Aug. 20.
Customers will enjoy live entertainment from the Buffalo Ridge Jazz starting at 10am and Dayton Philharmonic Duet’s Leslie Stratton, principal harpist, and Rebecca Andres, principal flutist, from 6-8 p.m. At 11 a.m. meet Alfred Dunner fashion expert Rita Schoeller for a fashion presentation in the misses department and learn tricks of the trade at a special scarf tying demonstration in accessories at noon. From 10 a.m. to 1p.m. kids can meet their favorite costume characters in the children’s department and have fun with face-painting from 12-4 p.m.
A live dee-jay will spin tunes in cosmetics while experts provide complimentary make-‐up lessons. Special gift with purchases will be offered in Estée Lauder, Clinique and Lancôme. The first five hundred customers in the store on Aug. 20, will receive a free canvas tote bag. Special events will continue through Aug. 23.
