WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE — Developers, community leaders and other interested parties are invited to join Air Force officials to attend an Enhanced Use Lease (EUL) Industry Day June 18 at the Prairies Religious Education Facility, Building 229 on 682 Chapel Lane, Riverside, Ohio. The facility is located behind Wright-Patterson’s Chapel 3.
The event will provide additional information on candidate parcels of underutilized Wright-Patterson AFB property being offered by the Air Force for potential development.
A new 79-acre parcel, now called Loop Road West (Parcel 7), adjacent to the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, has been identified for candidate development. Industry Day participants will have the opportunity to learn about the Enhanced Use Lease process and tour this property, as well as six other Wright-Patterson AFB sites previously identified for candidate development.
“Enhanced Use Lease presents a fantastic opportunity to develop installation property in creative ways that will benefit businesses, our neighbors and the Air Force,” said Col. Cassie Barlow, 88th Air Base Wing commander. “Our civil engineers have worked to better define and make available new lease opportunities which we hope businesses will find attractive.”
EUL is a lease of “non-excess” government property in exchange for cash and/or in kind consideration. The EUL program is directed by the Air Force Civil Engineer Center, headquartered at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. A Request for Qualifications on the available parcels has been published on the Federal Business Opportunities website (www.fbo.gov).
