XENIA — Greene County Farm Forum is offering a scholarship fundraiser set for Saturday, Sept. 13 with music and food to help fund college scholarships.
Featured music will be performed by the Mad River Bluegrass Band and food by McCoy Catering. Also featured will be Jimbo the Magician. The meal will include pulled pork, BBQ chicken, hamburgers and hot dogs along with all the trimmings.
The activity starts at 4 p.m. and will be held at the Greene County Career Center Agricultural Research Center located at 551 Brush Row Road. Cost of tickets is $15 for adults and $9 for children age 12 and under.
Funds raised from the picnic go towards scholarships for graduating seniors wanting to pursue a degree in some field of agriculture. In 2014 the organization awarded four $1,000 scholarships to Destiny Miller, Haleigh Spahr, Matt Hiser and Samantha Boeck.
