Opinions from the Gazette Facebook page about the possibility of a new entertainment center in Xenia:

Pamela S. Franks: “We need a grocery store at (south end), you have John sales and Xenia towers where these people cant get across town to get food, whats wrong with you XENIA!!!!”

Amy Huber: “This would be great!”

Derrick Louderback: “First off there are four grocery stores in this city. Second, Greene Cats will provide transportation for our elderly and disabled citizens so they can get were they need to go. I say it’s about time we started looking at bringing jobs and tax revenue back to Xenia.”

Ann Eavers Oliver: “I agree Derrick. JOBS & REVENUE is what this city needs. It’s time we start reusing the city’s abandoned sites.”

Trisha Linebaugh: “Love the idea!!! Family fun! On another note ..Why is it costing more than 50,000 for electricity to a vacant building? There is nothing in the old Simon Kenton building is there?”

Michael Bailey: “How soon do we forget that Xenia has had entertainment in the past and it did not last. Xenia once had a bowling alley, movie theater, putt putt golf and a skating rink. Obviously they did not stay. Makes you wonder if the investment will pay off. I think most people that live in Xenia would rather leave Xenia for entertainment regardless if Xenia has it to offer.”
