Greeneview, Beavercreek gymnasts heading to state

LIBERTY TWP. — Greeneview’s Olivia Bradds and Beavercreek gymnast Sydney Currier quite literally “vaulted” themselves to Friday’s state high school gymnastics championships. Bradds earned a score of 33.125 on the apparatus, while Currier turned in a 33.600 mark.

The top six individual placers in each competition of the Southwest District moved on to the state tourney, and the district’s top two teams also advanced. The teams for Mason and Centerville advanced in the team category.

The state gymnastics championships will be held Friday, Feb. 28 and Saturday, March 1 at Hilliard Bradley High School, just west of Columbus. The Parade of Competitors is set for 11:30 a.m. Friday.
