CINCINNATI — Jamestown native Matt “The Immortal” Brown visited Cincinnati Bengals’ headquarters Wednesday, just 24 hours before the NFL Draft and days before his main event UFC showdown with Erick Silva at US Bank Arena, in Cincinnati.
Brown, 33, toured the team’s facilities with defensive tackle Domata Peko and wide receiver Marvin Jones, and met with Bengals Strength and Conditioning Coach Chip Morton.
Brown (20-11 and ranked no. 7 in the world) will fight Silva (no. 14, 16-4), of Brazil, in Saturday’s main event, a five-round welterweight fight. Saturday’s televised UFC Fight Night event will mark the first time in seven years for an Ultimate Fighting Championship event to take place in Cincinnati.
In a key middleweight fight, Costas Philippou of Long Island, N.Y. will face Lorenz Larkin of Riverside, Calif. Eleven other fights are listed on the fight card.
