Three remaining Greene County high school baseball teams will be playing in tournament action today at various locations. The no. 1 seed, Beavercreek (21-7) will take on Clayton Northmont (17-11) in the Division I sectional finals at 5 p.m. today at Xenia High School. The GWOC leading Beavers took care of Tecumseh, 2-0, last Friday at Beavercreek High School behind a stellar pitching performance from sophomore Jackson Tedder.


Bellbrook (21-7) will face Carlisle (20-8) in the D-II sectional final at 5 p.m. today at Miamisburg High School. The second-seeded Golden Eagles edged out Kettering Alter, 6-5 last Thursday in extra innings at Bellbrook High School. Bellbrook was trailing in the bottom of the ninth, when senior Austin Hall hit a line drive to center field that brought home the winning run.


The Carroll Patriots (18-11) will take on first-seeded Tipp City Tippecanoe (21-7) in the Kenton Ridge bracket of the D-II sectionals at 5 p.m. today at Tecumseh High School, in New Carlisle. The fifth-seeded Patriots cruised past Indian Lake, 8-2, in their previous postseason game.
