XENIA — Forty youth attended a Fishing Derby held at the Greene County Fish and Game Association, 1538 Union Rd., Saturday in Xenia.
Terry Cope and his help measured each fish for the youth. Everyone caught lots of fish and won trophies, with tops of fish figures, and ribbons. Prizes were also given to every child. Some picked a new pole, while others only wanted new lures.
During the Derby, 29 of those youth chose to try for a casting trophy. Trish Lough and Jessica Stritenberger signed each child in. Paul Vanover and Tim Stritenberger scored the cast.
