P { margin-bottom: 0.08in; }Craig Clemons, Dave Gallagher, Matt Finkes, Quinn Pitcock and Brandon Saine will always be remembered for their outstanding football careers at Piqua High School. They continued their gridiron excellence at the collegiate level and share the distinguished honor of being the only five Indians to reach the pinnacle of football prominence by playing in the National Football League.

On August 29, the opening night of the 2014 high school football season, all five of these Piqua football legends will be honored at halftime of the Piqua/Toledo St. John’s contest.

Immediately after the game, all of the honorees will host a community Open House in the Piqua High School Commons, scheduled to conclude at 10 p.m. Everyone is invited to meet these five individuals whose names are synonymous with football excellence. This will be an excellent opportunity to visit with the NFL greats, add to your autograph collections or get a photograph for your memory scrapbook.

The special week-end will conclude with a Saturday evening dinner to be held at Edison Community College. A cash bar will be available from 6-7 p.m., followed with a buffet dinner. The program for the evening will conclude with the five honorees reminiscing about their high school, college and professional football careers and responding to questions from those in attendance.

Tickets for the dinner will cost $25 and can be purchased at Piqua High School, Thoma Jewelers and the Piqua Area Chamber of Commerce during regular business hours, beginning on July 15. Only 175 tickets will be sold for the Saturday dinner.

Plan now to attend the football opener and add your applause to these five Piqua football greats, join the fans at the Open House and purchase a ticket for the Saturday night dinner.
