XENIA — For many years, Pauline Shaw (Mrs. Elwood) was the Secretary of the Greene County Fair Board. In this position, she edited and prepared the booklets describing the various items which could be displayed, arranged for the premiums to be paid to the winning entries and supervised the rental of buildings for special events. At one time, her office was in the Court House, but later moved to the fairgrounds. After Graham Bryson’s death, his wife took on the responsibilities of Secretary. Pauline was her assistant for several years before assuming the position.
