YELLOW SPRINGS — A scholar, noted author and student of Grecian history, The Rev. Don Daniel Quinn was born in Yellow Spring in 1861. After graduation from St. Mary’s College in Maryland, he studied divinity at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary, then archaeology at the American School of Classical Studies, Athens, and Greene where he received his PhD. After further studies in Germany, he became head professor of Greek at Catholic University, Washington. C. From 1905-1905 he was director of Leonine College, Athens, Greece. He returned to Yellow Springs as a professor at Antioch College and pastor of St. Paul’s Catholic Church.
