Remembering Ralph Kendig

BEAVERCREEK —Ralph Kendig owned and operated a farm in Beavercreek for many years. His farm was located about eight miles northwest of Xenia, near the Bath Townshp line. He was quite active in local politics having served two terms as a trustee for Beavercreek Township as well as a four-year term on the board of elections. He was serving as the Democratic Central Committee chairman when one of the county commissioners was killed in in auto accident. Several individuals were interested in the position and when the votes were tallies Kendig was selected to fill the position serving as Greene County Commissioner.
