XENIA — Kathryn Compton volunteered for many years at local nursing homes, sharing Bible studies and doing social work. She developed a fashion show titled “50 Years of Fashion.” The show was originally put together to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Homemakers Club. The presentation became so popular; it was shown all over the Miami Valley. She haunted thrift shops for appropriate clothing, hats and accessories and researched hair styles for each era represented. She also put together a fashion show featuring clothing for people with special needs.
