Indians hosting Hunger Game food drive
CEDARVILLE — A food drive to offset a hunger concern in Clark and Greene Counties will culminate Friday, Dec. 2, when Springfield Emmanuel Christian Academy tips off against host Cedarville High School. The varsity boys basketball game begins at 7 p.m.
Cedarville and Emmanuel Christian are competing to see which school collects the most food for “The Hunger Game” on Dec. 2. Residents can drop off food donations at each school beginning Monday, Nov. 28, until Thursday, Dec. 1. The amount collected will be announced at the basketball game between the two rivals.
In support of the effort, Cedarville University designed T-shirts for the drive that will be sold by each school. All of the money from the sales, anticipated to be $300, will be given to their local food pantries. The food collected by Emmanuel Christian Academy will be given to the Clark County Food Pantry.
