FAIRBORN — After the Wright State men’s basketball nonleague schedule was announced last month, the Horizon League announced the league matchups for the 2015-16 season Thursday.

The Raiders start on the road at Milwaukee (Jan. 2) and Green Bay (Jan. 4) followed by a game at League newcomer and WSU “travel partner” Northern Kentucky (Jan. 9). That will be NKU’s first Horizon League home game.

Wright State then will start a stretch of five games in 10 days at home as the Raiders host Cleveland State (Jan. 14), Youngstown State (Jan. 16), Detroit (Jan. 18), Valparaiso (Jan. 22) and Illinois-Chicago (Jan. 24). January ends with a trip to Michigan to face Oakland (Jan. 29) and Detroit (Jan. 31).

February opens back at the WSU Nutter Center as Milwaukee (Feb. 4) and Green Bay (Feb. 6) come to town followed by a trip to the Chicago area with a game at Illinois-Chicago (Feb. 11) and at Valparaiso (Feb. 13). The Raiders next come home to host Oakland (Feb. 15) and Northern Kentucky (Feb. 20) as the month ends at Youngstown State (Feb. 25) and at Cleveland State (Feb. 27). The CSU game will be played at Quicken Loans Arena in downtown Cleveland.

The Horizon League Tournament will be different in 2016 as the entire event will be played at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. The first round will be March 5, second round on March 6, semifinals on March 7 and the championship game on March 8 live on ESPN.
