YELLOW SPRINGS – Cyclops Fest is all about handmade vendors and local food, but it’s building on previous years in a number of different ways.

“We are excited to announce that we are welcoming re-purposed vintage vendors to the festival this year.” Organizer DJ Galvin said. “Handmade has always been the focus of the festival, and we believe that the amount of hands-on skill and knowledge required to create unique reclaimed items falls into that vision.”

Coming into its fifth year, organizers are excited to see the growth that has taken place in regards to the festival.

“It’s really been amazing to see the festival grow from a small, local event into what it is today,” Organizer Brian Johnson said. “Last year we hosted more than 80 handmade vendors and had over 10,000 attendees from all over Ohio. We really couldn’t do it without the support of the amazing artists, food vendors and musicians that choose to participate.”

For more information on the independent festival, details and a full vendor list are available on its Facebook page, facebook.com/cyclopsfest, or the website, cyclopsfest.com

The festival takes place 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12 in downtown Yellow Springs.
