XENIA TOWNSHIP (WDTN) — A teenager suffered serious injuries after a crash on U.S. Route 42 Wednesday morning. According to our partners at WDTN 2 News, the driver who was injured was coming out of a neighborhood on Beacon Road onto U.S. Route 42 when he was hit by a box truck.
According to information from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, speed was not believed to be a factor in the crash, but the foggy conditions at the time could have caused the wreck.
According to troopers, the driver, described as in his late teens, was taken to Miami Valley Hospital with “serious” injuries.
CareFlight originally was called but had to be cancelled due to the foggy conditions.
The crash occurred on US Route 42 Wednesday morning.
