FAIRBORN — Joshua Lester, 28, has been charged with attempted murder, three counts of felonious assault, felony obstructing official business, breaking and entering, possession of criminal tools and resisting arrest.

According to a police report, Lester was found forcing entry into a garage on Blossom Court in Fairborn approximately 11:53 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 4 by responding officers, who then attempted to place him under arrest. However, Lester violently resisted, resulting in a “turbulent struggle,” according to the police report, and two more officers being called to the scene.

Two officers were injured with non life-threatening injuries, but were still transported to the hospital for treatment and evaluation. Lester was taken into custody and evidence from the scene was collected, which suggested that he was involved in multiple other crimes that the Fairborn Police Department is now investigating. The police report stated that additional charges are likely.
