JAMESTOWN — Members of the Greene County Parks & Trails Trail Sentinels program will hold a bike safety program in Jamestown at 2 p.m. July 9. The session will be held for participants in the Jamestown Area Family Resource Center’s Summer Outdoor Activities and Recreation (SOAR) program and will be held at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 44 E. Washington St.

The all-volunteer and elite group of trail professionals will be teaching basic bike safety and skills. GCP&T Trail Sentinels Richard Tool, Ken Bish and Diane Bish will be the featured speakers. Registered participants will receive a free bike helmet as needed and as sizes permit.

The program is being held in response to a recent cycling traffic accident involving a youth in Jamestown.
