CEDARVILLE — As the 2015-16 academic year opened, Dr. Thomas White, president, reminded the student body that “chapel is the heartbeat of Cedarville University.”

Chapel is held five days a week at Cedarville University and is attended by students, faculty, and staff.

In order to share this “heartbeat” broadly, Cedarville’s marketing, web services, and Christian ministries departments developed a program that allows all chapel programs to be streamed live on the internet. Now it doesn’t matter where people are living, they can listen or watch the 50-minute chapel Monday through Friday.

The new online streaming allows anyone in the world to hear the same scripturally sound Bible teaching and grounded musical worship the students hear each day.

“I am excited that our Cedarville community, and those beyond, will be able to watch chapel live and listen as some of the greatest Bible teachers in the world challenge us all to stand for the Word of God and the Testimony of Jesus Christ,” White said.

Along with the live broadcast, a new chapel archive format was developed to improve viewing and listening experience. The updated chapel archive features an improved interface for users to easily access full service audio and high-definition streaming video of past chapel services. There is no charge for the online streaming service or archived chapel messages.

Chapel live-streaming will be available 10 a.m. Monday through Friday at www.cedarville.edu/Chapel/Live.aspx.
