Greene County News Report

BEAVERCREEK — Beavercreek High School was evacuated Tuesday morning following a threat that was called into the school. Students, teachers and staff were moved to the Beavercreek Church of the Nazarene following the threat and students did not return to class during the day.

Officers searched the school and nothing unusual was found, according to police. No injuries were reported in association with the incident, which remains under investigation.

According to a release from the Beavercreek Police Department, the school received a threatening phone call at about 10 a.m., which prompted school officials to evacuate the campus and dismiss early.

This is the most recent in a series of threats that have been called in to the district in recent months.

Other threats were reported at schools in Los Angeles and New York City Tuesday morning, but according to Beavercreek police, the department had no way to link the threats except by timing.
